Abstract
-----------
Culture is the total way of life of a man, and it is crystal clear that basic needs,
i.e., food, sex and protection govern the total way of life. In the field of genetics, sex is a
biological aspect, which in a society is governed by marriage, caste and other cultural
aspects.
Dhankut of India is an unknown group for the vision of an Anthropologist. This
group is a medalian population, who is totally socially neglected. Dhankut are facing
serious albinism problem and it is due to the cultural aspect of the Indian social structure,
there is an adverse effect on their lives.
Why is albinism so frequent among the Dhankut, this issue will be discussed in
my proposed paper, on the basis of some of the following cultural aspects in the Indian
peninsula.
1. Caste
2. Religion
3. Marriage
4. Social negligence
